Postmortem...the cover to my first art book. The original is framed and available. 18x24" oil on masonite.
Hope your piece leads to more book covers, it's very selective in choice of design and illustration placement, cool man.
I still want that artbook!
Absolutely amazing one! I'm always in love with your amazing art and you gorgeous characters!
oh, i didn't know.. I bought it so long time ago, probably on 2003 or 2004. I discovered your art seeing this amazing cover on the shelf of my favourite comics shop, that is placed in the south of Italy. It was near at Darkwerks's book of Brom. i bought both, and that day changed my life I love the introduction he did to your book, however
Maybe eventually I will get around to the second book....
It will be very cool. I'm looking forward to buy it. May I ask you a question Mr. Post? I see that you use oil painting. What's the name of the brand you use? It seems more brillant than my kind. Or do you use some particular preparation for the board before the paint?
Well, when I used to use oils (digital now)..I would use different brands for different colors. Daniel Smith isn't far, so I got a lot of the odder colors from there.
This artbook has had a massive influence on my concept of art. Buying it was one of the best thing i did in my life. Thanks Mr. Post.
